prevent seeing the actual cap.
Monofilaments are more expensive than a permatease
base because they look more natural and cost more to
produce. They are also more comfortable.
Whatever type wig you choose, all top brand wigs are
more natural and stylish looking than ever.
There are so many reasons leading to hair loss,
too numerous to mention. However, the three major
reasons are Chemotherapy due to Cancer, Alopecia and
Thyroid problems.
Suggestions:
If you are undergoing Chemotherapy due to cancer
or thyroid problems, a wig cap is recommended. A wig
cap is a mesh see through cap to be worn under the
wig and prevents itching and slipping of the wig
that may occur. Two sided wig tape is not
recommended because it might pull out new growth,
not to mention is would be painful. Wigs adhere to
the wig cap and give you an extra measure of
security.
A person diagnosed with Alopecia or Alopecia
Ariata are also recommend to either wear a wig cap
or use a two sided wig tape. Two sided wig tape can
be purchased in a roll or strips.
If you are suffering hair loss due to a medical
condition, contact your insurance company and
inquire if you have coverage for reimbursement of
the wig. If, in fact you do have coverage, send the
prescription, along with the receipt of purchase to
your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
The prescription must be issued for a ?cranial
prosthesis.? The word ?wig? should not be used in
